Turkish Süper Lig market values: Sacha Boey hits new heights, Ndombélé drops in value

Transfermarkt has updated the market values ​​of the Turkish Süper Lig and there’s little doubt that Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey became the biggest winner after being crowned the new most valuable player in the Turkish top-flight. Alongside Tottenham loanee, Tanguy Ndombélé, the reigning champions also have the footballer who has recorded the biggest loss in market value. In terms of squad value, the Istanbul giants have lost €13.7m in squad market value, but remain at the top of the squad value rankings ahead of current league leaders Fenerbahce.

As an ever-present member of his team this season, Boey’s market value increase makes perfect sense. Now valued at €22m, the full-back is now the second most valuable French player in that position, behind Chelsea star Malo Gusto. Original signed from Rennes in 2021 for just €1.15m, Boey has gone from strength to strength in the Süper Lig and has now picked up his firth consecutive upgrade in market value. 

The biggest loser in the update also comes from Galatasaray's ranks: Ndombélé, who was signed on loan from Tottenham in September, has made just six league appearances due to injury. As such, the midfielder’s market value has dropped by €6m to €15m. Many of his teammates also recorded a decline in market value, including Kerem Demirbay (-€1.3m to €4.7m), Tetê (-€4m to €20m), Victor Nelsson (-€4m to €15m), Angeliño (-€3m to €8m), Hakim Ziyech (-€3m to €12m) and Wilfried Zaha (-€3m to €17m). Fenerbahce's Cengiz Ünder (-€4m to €16m), Daniel Amartey from Besiktas (-€3.5m to €8m) and Trabzonspor's Nicolas Pépé (-€3m to €11m) are also among the players with the biggest decreases in market value. 

Squad market values: Besiktas and Galatasaray with the biggest losses 

As a result of the update, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray are the teams that recorded the greatest loss in value in their squads: The “Black Eagles” are only just behind their city rivals in the ranking with a loss of €13.2m. Rıza Çalımbay's team initially slipped to fourth place behind Trabzonspor in the league rankings. While Galatasaray remains at the top, second-placed Fenerbahce have fallen below the €200m mark.
